Chartered in 1856 by the Grand Lodge of New Jersey, Hightstown-Apollo Lodge #41 F&AM is one of the few remaining moon lodges. In the early years of Masonry in the the United States, moon lodges were common as there was light to travel by when members were meeting at their lodges. At Hightstown-Apollo Lodge #41 F&AM we still abide by the old traditions, and are one of fewer than 200 moon lodges left in America. Our stated communications are held once per month on the first Friday on or following the full moon and are open to all Master Masons.
We gather more informally for friendly camaraderie and rehearsal each Thursday evening at 7:30PM. Visitors are more than welcome to stop by on Thursday evenings to learn more about the lodge.
Our lodge, located in the heart of historic Hightstown, is part of New Jersey’s 15th Masonic District.
