Thomas Curtis Pearce (January 30, 1830 – November 7, 1902) was most likely born in Monmouth County and moved to Hightstown sometime in the 1850s. He served Hightstown Lodge #41 as Junior Warden in 1862 and Senior Warden in 1863-64 before becoming Worshipful Master in 1865-66. It was during this time that the lodge moved to its new home on the third floor of Hutchinson’s Hall, located on Main Street in Hightstown.
His Civil War draft registration form listed his occupation as blacksmith. Pearce later served as Commissioner of Deeds in East Windsor & Hightstown in the 1890s.
